Rules / Regeln

In order to make this a pleasant experience for everyone, you should obey a few guidelines.

1. When you start a new story, try to give whoever continues it as much to work with as possible. On other such sites I've beheld people starting out stories, creating great characters, great setting, but pretty much telling ONE WHOLE ADVENTURE already, leaving the follow-up author with virtually no chance to pick the plot-line up, 'cause the tale is already finished. Such stories at best get an episodic feel to them, and that's not quite what I'd love to see people create here.
   
2. Beginner makes the rules! This means that you MUST take into account and respect what the previous author(s) wrote. This is true of plot, style, characterization... Example: If the beginner paints the protagonist as a weakling loser, then EVEN IF YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE THAT, you are NOT allowed to turn him into a superhero!
   
3. NO FAN-FICTION!!! This means: no stories about Star Trek, Star Wars, Xena, etc. The reason for that is simply that all of the above, the characters of those and their names are COPYRIGHTED.
   
4. Please keep pointless, needless, excessive violence out of your stories. Same goes for graphic descriptions of sexual intercourse with human, animal, or object.
   
5. You are allowed to make several contributions to the same story, even consecutively. However: try going for a few longer ones rather than many short ones...
   
6. By posting your writing on our forum you grant us permission to put together a downloadable version of some of the longer stories, including your part(s).
